With Martha Holland, LMT
The Graston Technique & Therapeutic Massage is an instrument-assisted form of soft tissue mobilization used by therapists to address soft tissue lesions and fascial restrictions so that movement becomes easier. Muscle tightness from repetitive movement, compensatory posture and scar tissue, for example, can lead to painful and/or limited movement. Graston can find the problem area and help return the affected soft tissue to a more normal state allowing increased circulation and better mobility.
Compassion Massage offers unique combination of Graston Technique and massage sessions at the Westford clinic. These sessions include the assessment, Graston Technique, and massage.
Our massage therapist, Martha Holland, works at our new Westford clinic and offers a unique combination of massage therapy with the Graston Technique. Muscle tightness from repetitive movement, compensatory posture and scar tissue, for example, can lead to painful and/or limited movement. Graston can find the problem area and help return the affected soft tissue to a more normal state, allowing increased circulation and better mobility.
Acute injuries respond quicker to this type of therapy while chronic conditions may require a longer recovery period. Orthopedic conditions such as Golfer’s Elbow, Tennis Elbow and Plantar Fasciitis along with several others, can be treated with the Graston technique. The good news is that it does not need to be painful in order to be effective!
Martha Holland, has been practicing massage therapy since 2004 and furthered her education by earning a degree in physical therapy. She has worked with many people of various ages with various therapy goals. Martha is dedicated to helping you with your massage therapy goals and can incorporate the Graston technique to help prolong the benefits of your massage therapy session. Currently, there is no additional fee to add Graston to your next massage therapy session.
